Ski Training
Through a combination of technical feedback and tactical drills, we challenge Canadian Ski Quest Skiers to exceed their current skill level and to reap the rewards and satisfaction of the greater enjoyment that this brings.
Individualized Skier Advancement Program
Each Canadian Ski Quest skier will receive an Individualized Skier Advancement Program (ISAP) developed by Canadian Ski Quest Instructors. Skiers follow their individual skier advancement program in partnership and with direction from their Canadian Ski Quest Instructors towards achieving their skiing goals. Skiing goals are achieved through a combination of technical and tactical instruction and, once you have it right, skiing mileage.
Your Canadian Ski Quest Program Includes:
-
Technical advice
-
Tactical advice
-
Professional level guidance on Red Mountain
-
Terrain recommendations for self-directed mileage
-
Equipment recommendations
-
Video feedback
The Skier and Instructor are partners in this skill development program. Feedback on skill progression will be administered in a collaborative relationship starting with Instructor to Skier feedback and moving to Skier to Instructor feedback. At the beginning of the program, your Instructor will be directing you on what to and how to improve your skiing. As the program progresses, with individualized programs in place, collaborative communication will develop to a point where Skier and Instructor are sharing skill progression ideas.
Apres
Daily Apres is in The Velvet Restaurant and Lounge at the Josie hotel. Located right at the base of Red Mountain, the Velvet offers a comfortable atmosphere, delicious beverages, and great service.
Dinners
For such a small town, Rossland offers some excellent coffee shops, lunch, and dinner spots as well as a much-loved local brewery. Some favourites with the guests are Gabriella's, and Zee Crepes, Here is a more extensive list.
Social Events
There is something special about the Kootenay mountains and the people who live in them. A short hike into the woods will take you to a viewpoint cabin. Rossland and the neighbouring town of Trail BC are home to great live music and theatre venues. The Blizzard Music Festival in late July is a must!
